Psychological hardiness (challenge, control and commitment) is a set of attitudes that buffer individuals against stressful life circumstances. The presentation explores how hardiness reduces symptoms of inflammation, stress and strain and practices that can be implemented.
Richard Harvey, PhD is a Professor in the Institute for Holistic Health Studies at San Francisco State University where he teaches classes called ‘Psychophysiology of Healing,” “Relaxation and Stress Reduction” as well as a general course called “Western Perspectives in Holistic Health.
The Holistic Health Series Optimize Health and Well-being is sponsored by the Institute for Holistic Health Studies and Department of Recreation, Parks, Tourism and Holistic Health and is open to members of the University Community.
