Title of Funding Opportunity: Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Student Achievement Program

 

Required Materials for ORSP Submission

  1. One-page description of plans for improvements or enhancements to services provided to AANHPI students and anticipated uses of funding
  2. Two-page CV of team members

 

Deadlines

  1. Submit materials to ORSP and committee for review: May 14, 5pm PT
  2. ORSP and committee to choose one application to move forward: May 16
  3. Application deadline: June 9

 

Funding and Duration

Up to $400,000, with duration of five years

Overview

As part of California Assembly Bill (AB) 190, signed into law in September 2022, annual appropriations of $8 million will be made available to the California State University (CSU) for operationalizing the Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Student Achievement Program across the CSU system, as defined in California Education Code §89297.1. Through this call for proposals, five-year funding allocations will be available to CSU campuses. The funds are intended to assist existing efforts and/or to seed and develop new endeavors to support achievement of AANHPI students.
