Changes to Proposal Submissions in FY2018
The Directorate of Biological Sciences (BIO) is notifying members of the research community of important changes to the core program solicitations effective in calendar year 2018. You are strongly encouraged to read the Dear Colleague Letter and the Frequently Asked Questions for complete details and contact your program officer for specific questions.
2018 Carnegie Fellows Competition
For 2018, the competition is focused on the areas listed below (full details attached) and SFSU is allowed to nominate two people, one junior (Ph.D. 2007 or later) and one senior scholar. Nominees must be US citizens or permanent residents. Complete details can be found here. Formal applications are due at the Foundation by November 17th.

For international travel, the approval process is complete when the traveler receives an email confirmation from Risk Management. Please allow additional processing time for international travel
If you travel without prior authorization, you run the risk of not being able to be reimbursed for your expenses.
