As climate change looms, SF State’s Estuary and Ocean Science Center monitors the health of the Bay
"Paradise Drive” is the name of the road leading to San Francisco State’s Estuary and Ocean Science (EOS) Center. It lives up to the name, meandering along the northeastern edge of the Tiburon Peninsula with forest on one side and clear views of the San Francisco Bay on the other.
SF State Associate Professor of Sociology Rita Melendez and three other researchers reviewed 10 years of scientific literature, 47 studies in total, to examine why the virus is still infecting people and to identify possible solutions. Their analysis was published in the journal AIDS and Behavior in June and will be presented at the International AIDS Conference in Amsterdam later this month.
Professor Ruotolo to Head to Ghana on Fulbright Scholarship
Humanities Professor Cristina Ruotolo will spend the coming school year in Ghana after winning a Fulbright scholarship. Dr. Ruotolo, Director of San Francisco State’s School of Humanities and Liberal Studies, will study Ghanaians’ relationship to American literature and culture at University of Ghana in Legon.
